    CW - Read Stave Two - A Christmas Carol
          - discuss symbolism -  show examples
          -story strip -  list examples of symbolism
                      and questions
          HW - finish reading Stave Two over weekend
   
                   Brainstorm poem ideas -  (ex: wintry scenes, holiday
                      themes, childhood memories,  wishful thinking,
                       global/universal wishes, etc..)
                      Bring ideas to class on Monday


Social Studies:

    Test- Article II
          Students who have tested need to work on presidential
          research.
    HW - finish research and bring notes to class on Monday

       Discuss technology and character development

    CW -  crossword puzzle - due at end of period
          -vocabulary and literary terms from our story  (O.Henry)


Social Studies:

    CW -  presidential research
          -use your planner and take notes as you go
          -record your url's  and books for later reference

    HW - continue the research as you can - classtime is limited
          for research.
          Your planner must be approved by me before you can move
          on to the next part of the project.
