       based on Mother Goose.
       4 lines minimum  with enriched vocabulary
       due today
    Lesson:  use the computers to type and save poems
       we will print shortly
    H.O. - poem "Midnight Ride of Paul Revere"
       read through - more discussion tomorrow
       groups to be decided by Friday

    CW- work on U.S. map

Magazine Drive Assembly - pm classes

Language Arts:
    overhead- sample of enriched poem
    example:  "scintillate, scintillate minute phosphorus orb,
        as I ponder your complex existence."
    Discuss adjectives and enriched vocabulary
    CW-  write a childhood poem (4 lines minimum)
       get teacher's okay
    HW - rewrite the poem using enriched vocabulary
       due tomorrow

Social Studies:
    CW- review latitude and longitude (measuring distance)
    CW/HW - continue to perfect the U.S. map assignment
       pick up a map for a final copy if needed
       due- Friday, Sept. 21st
